leaving on a jet plane

Ryan has moved from Indonesia to the Philippines. He took these photos the last time he was there. I was looking forward to seeing more, but the camera he has with him stopped working a couple countries ago. This makes me very sad.

missed out

It seems that A cannot get the idea of owning a drum out of her head...she keeps going on about it.  After seeing this one on ebay I can't get the idea out of my head either.  It went for one dollar above my max bid.  Boo.

mankind mag

I am so pleased to tell you about Mankind Mag, brain child of the always inspiring Erin Loechner from Design For Mankind. This online/print publication always features the most beautiful images, and this the fourth issue happens to be particularly lovely.  I am so delighted to have had one of my photos featured among all the other incredible work.

You can peruse, download a free copy, or purchase a print copy of the feets and feats issue right here.

the best thing ever

Tonight we made lemon squares.  That was going to be the best thing ever. They were pretty good, but ended up being trumped by the following conversation:

A: "Hey, whatcha doin'?"
C: "I'm dishing up lemon squares."
A: "Oh, can I have one?"
C: "Yes, I'll get you one."

and here is where it gets really good...

A: "Hooray for Mommy! Hip, hip, hooray! Hip, hip, hooray!"

This is no joke.  She pumped her little fist in the air and everything.  All her previous transgressions have been forgiven.

sweet tooth

Thank you to the lovely Missa, brains and beauty behind the most delightful blog Thrift Candy. She featured this outfit as her 100% thrifted pick of the week, but you'll have to head that way to read about the adorable name her little one inspired her to give this dress. See the post here.
