housing woes

We've been having some extremely long and drawn out problems with our (hopefully) new condo concerning the VA (our financier) and some rather ridiculous if not impossible requests they've been making regarding an issue concerning a seemingly unattainable permit. We were supposed to close about a month ago, but have had to extend until this whole mess is resolved.

Both the sellers and ourselves are about at our wits end with the whole debaucle, but things are finally looking up, and an end is in sight. We should definitely know by next week's end where we stand, and whether we will be moving as planned or starting the search all over again (excruciatingly loud ugh). We'll keep the updates coming...

In the meantime, enjoy these rather cute pictures of Ava in the pool:

You of course realize that the beauty of this mess is the ability of the government to take the simple and screw it up! Of course, what we really need is more government involvement in our families so they can screw up families too. Problem is that everything the government does is done by committee. We all know that all it takes to really make a first class mess of something is to assign it to a committee. Ya, I really want the government to be my health care provider. That way, when someone in our family needs some medical care, the government can handle that just like they are getting your loan processed! Heaven help us all if that day comes!!!

Hope they get your loan worked out so you don't have to go condo shopping again! Good luck kids.
