a photo

While sightseeing in London several years ago, I had a brief chat with an older gentleman wearing a funny hat. It went something like this:

me: "Excuse me, could we get a picture with you?"
gent: "Pardon?"
me: "Could we get a picture with you?"
gent: "What?"
me: "..a picture?"
gent: with a very confused/concerned expression "...sorry?"
me: holding up my camera "Could we get a picture with you?"
gent: "Oh, you mean a photo. Speak english, dear."

Once we understood one another he was kind enough to pose for a round of photos, but his words left an impression on me. So, this is a photo...not a picture. Oh, and it was taken by Ava.
