A couple nights ago I woke myself up at 3:00 am hoping to see a show of shooting stars. It was a total bust, however, because, while I did make it outside, when I got there the sky was too cloudy to make even one star visible. It's a sad tale, but this image taken by the hubble telescope is pretty darn neat.

Yesterday we went to the National Zoo which I now know is the best zoo forever and ever. Amen. We were there with a couple other families. It was perfect and sunny, and all the little kids like R the best.

almost a week

It's been almost a week since I posted, and there is nothing else to say. But doesn't this photo make you like autumn just a little bit more? It was taken by my good friend Julie and posted on her blog here.

Speaking of weeks, in one of them I'll be leaving Virginia and arriving in Utah where I will eat all the turkey and pie.
