i __________, promise in good faith, to pass on some love of my own. i will get a small flat rate box from the post office and fill it with my own goodies and pass it along to someone in my own giveaway/contest/whathaveyou. and i will ask them to pass their love on as well, and so on and so on. i will also come back to this post and let leah know when i am doing this so she can follow along.
Since I like to keep my promises, this is it. The giveaway post. I'm filling a box with a lot of little bits. Thrifted and handmade bits. Here's the best part - I won't finish filling it until you win. That way, I can pick out something special just for you. (Whoever you are.) Please do enter by leaving a comment. Please. Then, when you win (on December 18), do a dance. Once that's out of your system, take the oath. Then pay it forward.
p.s. I took this photo from Leah's original post because I think it's the best thing ever. Thanks, Leah!
update: The winner is Andrea. Yay!

What a fantastic idea! I am really loving these things lately. Paying it forward is so fun. Great idea! :)

I love this idea! I also love getting packages from you-what a fine combo!
This does sound fun! I'll throw my hat in too :)
Yayay! And I promise your winnings from me are forthcoming. I need just one more thrifting trip to an actual thriftstore ;)
Ohhh, this is a great idea! I can't participate right now but I love the idea. It also reminds me of the mixed media journals people send around and each person adds a new picture or something to an existing picture and then it eventually goes back to the first person...kind of like those 'round-robin' letters. Anyway, I've enjoyed looking and reading your blog! Thanks!
I recently complained about the onslaught of blogland giveaways... but admitted that I do enter a few now and then. This is the kind I like, more down-to-earth and done for the fun of it rather than to accrue hits or ad dollars or whatever. Consider me entered.
i offered directions without considering how terrible i am at giving directions on this island! ha
to find the greenhouse (the one that you NEED to visit) you just head from honolulu towards kaneohe, get on the kamehameha highway headed to the northshore and you'll pass the greenhouse on your left only about 5 miles past kaneohe. Fields of plants off the road, really cant miss it.
you guys come up the north shore often?
must be nice to be home!
*shivers*
