moloka'i

I spent a couple days in Moloka'i last weekend with some friends - part of a belated Mother's Day gift to myself. The island is small - only 38 miles long - with no stop lights, but somehow there still wasn't enough time to see all the sights. We spent the entire weekend swimming in the ocean, walking through town, listening to local bands, eating too much, laughing, crying, chatting with locals, waiting in a late night line for warm bread, running through the woods and involving ourselves in impromptu photo shoots and haphazard tarot card readings. Best girls weekend ever.

Precious! I want to be there. Instead of my grey, stormy weatherbeaten village.
